ALL ABOUT PASHA

Pasha Hub is a registered refugee youth hub under the Uganda Registration Service Bureau/Company Act of Incorporation. The idea of creating a platform for refugees to write and tell their own stories started in 2020 under the organization PPDR during the COVID-19 pandemic.

MISSION

To provide a platform for refugees to amplify their voices through storytelling, fostering understanding, empathy, and connection among individuals and communities worldwide.

Empowering refugees to reclaim their narratives and share their stories with the world, creating a vibrant, diverse, and inclusive community where every voice is heard and celebrated

GOALS

Create a user-friendly online platform that allows refugees to easily share their stories through various mediums such as written narratives, audio recordings, and visual media.

Provide training and workshops to refugees on storytelling techniques, digital literacy, and media production to enhance their storytelling skills and confidence.

Establish partnerships with organizations and media outlets to amplify the reach of refugee stories and promote greater understanding and empathy.

Develop a supportive community where refugees can connect, collaborate, and find solidarity through storytelling.

Advocate for refugee rights and representation in media and policy discussions, aiming to reshape narratives around refugees and displacement
