About PASHA YOUTH HUB
Our Story
PASHA YOUTH HUB is a vibrant and transformative platform created by refugee youth in 2023. Our journey began with a shared vision to create a space where young refugees could advocate for their community, share their stories, and express themselves through various artistic forms such as poetry, slam, writing, and acting.
“PASHA” originates from the Swahili word meaning “TO TELL”. It embodies our commitment to letting our voices be heard, to tell our stories with authenticity, and to provide hope and guidance amidst our collective sorrows. Our platform emerged from the recognition that while our experiences may be shaped by hardship and loss, our voices hold the power to transcend barriers and ignite change.
We understand the challenges faced by refugee youth, having lived through moments of terror, loss, and displacement. These experiences have shaped us and brought us together around a common goal – to support each other, overcome our fears, and reclaim our voices.
Our Mission
At PASHA YOUTH HUB, our mission is to provide a safe and inclusive space for refugee youth to express themselves, rebuild their self-esteem, and address the trauma they face. Through workshops, storytelling sessions, poetry slams, and more, we aim to promote psychosocial support, creativity, and freedom of expression.
Objectives
Our immediate objectives include facilitating the writing of refugee stories, promoting psychosocial support, creating a storytelling platform, and publishing a monthly newsletter and podcast to amplify refugee voices.
Expected Outcomes
We envision a future where refugee youth are empowered to write and tell their stories, where confidence is restored, and where mental health support is readily accessible. Through our programs, we strive to establish an education platform, publish regular newsletters, and provide ongoing support to our community.
Implementation and Monitoring
Our programs are implemented through various sessions held weekly and monthly, covering topics such as writing, storytelling, debates, and entertainment. Each service is closely monitored and evaluated to ensure effectiveness and relevance.

Beneficiaries
Our services primarily target refugee youth aged 15 to 30, with a focus on those who have the ability to read and write in their preferred languages. However, we aim to be inclusive, providing learning opportunities to all who seek them.
